AI or Real? The Answers Are In — And They Might Surprise You

In our recent post, we challenged readers to take the Municipal Government Turing Test — reviewing two song samples and two images to determine which were created by AI and which were created by humans. You can see the images and listen to the songs here. The responses are in, and they reveal just how convincing artificial intelligence has become.

The AI reveal:

• Image A was AI-generated.

Despite this, 63% of respondents guessed Image B was AI, and 54% thought Song A was machine-made — meaning the majority of people got it wrong.
